Pennie and Friends #2

Pennie & Friends #2

Pennie is a character I brought to life several years ago, and this video showcases the many facets of her being. Each story I create is a reflection of Pennie herself—a noblewoman who is principled, praiseworthy, earnest, neighborly, nurturing, and non-judgmental. Innocent at heart, she wholeheartedly embraces life with an open spirit.

One unique aspect of my creations is that the characters, including Pennie, are faceless in the traditional sense. The heads of these beaded figures are crafted from polymer clay beads, lovingly handmade by me, Michelle Carter, or feature hollow glass beads. Similarly, illustrations of Pennie depict her with indistinct faces, and stuffed Pennie dolls are also created without defined facial features. This intentional design choice lends an air of universality and imagination to her character, inviting viewers to see themselves or their emotions reflected in her.

The Pennie Characters

I posted a series of videos on YouTube Shorts to highlight some of my completed Pennie characters. Each hand-crafted Pennie has a different personality and her own story. Pennie is crafted with vintage baubles, Swarovski crystals, Preciosa beads, and hand-crafted (by Michelle Carter) polymer clay beads, giving her a Steampunk feel.

They are approximately two to three inches tall. They have lobster claw connections. Pennie can be attached to metal book-marks, beaded necklaces, nickel free chains and (9.25) silver necklaces.

Pendant holders with magnetic bases are available as add-on display accessory.
